There's also some background on the library itself, which serves the more than 70,000 residents of historic Yuba County. The main branch, at 303 Second Street in Marysville, includes The California Room, a unique and extensive collection of books and documents about our state's history. If you want to visit the Library's website, just click here. Follow the links to the left to learn more about the organization and how you can get involved. What's New The Big Read: The Friends of the Library have donated $1,000 to The Big Read program, a partnership between the Yuba Sutter Regional Arts Council and the Yuba County Library under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Friends' donation is the first of the required matching funds for this exciting 2010 project, which will engage adults and students in reading Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Fall Book Sale Dates Set: The Friends raised more than $1,100 during its Spring sale, and has now set the dates for the Fall sale. It will take place October 23, 26, 27, 28, and will include for the first time evening hours on the 27th and 28th, to accommodate book lovers who want to shop after work.
