Our portfolio of programs have several purposes: > Enhance awareness of the Library and its value to the community To achieve these goals, the Friends undertake a variety of activities, the details of which can be found by clicking here. We are an IRS-certified non-profit 501 (3) (c) corporation, governed by formal Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws and the federal and California state laws that apply to non-profits. The organization is run by a volunteer board of directors, with additional support from other members for specific events and activities. They work closely with the library's programs and outreach coordinator who, with the support of the director, serves as liaison to the group. The board meets on the third Tuesday of each month and all members of the Friends are welcome to attend and offer their ideas and assistance. Meetings are held in the Community Room at the Library, and begin at 3:30 p.m. To review meeting agendas, and/or minutes and financial reports presented at past meetings, click here.
